Together, Portland based flamenco company Portland Flamenco Events, and bailaora Melinda Hedgecorth from Sevilla, Spain will create the atmosphere of a Spanish tablao as they perform the flamenco dances of southern Spain. Beginning with Sevillanas [a popular folk dance from Sevilla] and moving into more sophisticated and deeper forms of flamenco performed as improvisational solos. Join us for an evening of dancing and music that will remind you of roses, sherry, and horses that dance on air. Artists include Melinda Hedgecorth (baile), Toshi Onizuka (cajón and guitar), Mark Ferguson (flamenco guitar), Diana Bright (cante) ,Lillie Last (baile), and Laura Onizuka (baile)
